Sinossi
Dragon Ball è ambientato sulla Terra e narra le strane avventure di un bambino di nome Goku dotato di una forza eccezionale ed amante delle arti marziali. La storia si incentra attorno alla ricerca di sette misteriose sfere (le Sfere del drago, appunto, da cui il titolo) che una volta riunite fanno apparire magicamente un drago enorme che ha il potere di esaudire qualsiasi desiderio a chi lo evochi. Il bene dovrà continuamente contendere le sette sfere al male, per evitare che quest'ultimo le utilizzi per scopi malvagi, in una lotta che sembra non finire mai. In Dragon Ball la storia principale si intreccia con altre sottotrame mostrando varie interpretazioni e divergenze, arrivando a un punto in cui le avventure di Goku si distaccano abbastanza dalla storia originale della ricerca delle sfere. Il combattimento rappresenta il punto forte che ha reso quest'opera uno dei manga più amati al mondo, contando milioni di appassionati in 20 anni di vita del fumetto e dell'anime televisivo successivo: attraverso la lotta, i personaggi di questo fumetto compiono una crescita dal punto di vista mentale e fisico al fine di diventare il guerriero più forte dell'universo.

Anime segments featuring popular characters to condense history lessons for children This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Fuji TV networks will air a "FNS 27-Jikan TV Nihon no Rekishi" (FNS 27-Hour Japan's History) special on September 9 and 10, which will feature anime segments from One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Kochikame, and Chibi Maruko-chan. The event will air from September 9 at 6:30 p.m. to September 10 at 9:30 p.m. Preview images for the special in Weekly Shonen Jump feature Kochikame's protagonist Ryō dressed as Sakamoto Ryōma, Maruko from Chibi Maruko-chan dressed in a 12-layer kimono from the Heian Era, Gohan and Trunks from Dragon Ball Super in a rice field during Japan's ancient Yayoi Period, and Luffy from One Piece on a battlefield during the Warring States Era. News Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Game's Switch Version Shows Hand Gestures for Attacks
Game ships in Japan on September 7, in the West on September 22 Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a video on Thursday for its Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game for the Nintendo Switch. The video shows the unique features for the Switch version, including the various ways of playing the game, and performing attacks using hand gestures. The Switch version will launch in Japan on September 7, and will launch in the Americas and Europe on September 22. The release will include three new systems. The new ad-hoc co-op feature will let players connect and play with up to six players locally for the first time in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series. Using the motion sensor will let players use ultimate techniques. For example, players will be able to hold the Joy-Cons in both hands to use a Kamehameha attack.
