More characters revealed for Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin ahead of spring premiere

Level 5 began streaming a preview on Saturday for the Inazuma Eleven Reloaded event anime.

Inazuma Eleven Reloaded is "another episode 27" of the Inazuma Eleven series, and is an all-new work. The episode will stream at the "Inazuma Eleven Big Revival Festival" that will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight event hall on January 21. The spinoff episode will lead up to the premiere of Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin and will remake the earlier anime's existing 27th episode with a diverging story.

The event on January 21 will also screen a "director's cut" version of the first episode of Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin, the upcoming television anime series. The episode will be longer than the one that will air on TV. Level 5 also began streaming a trailer on Saturday for the show's first episode.

The video reveals more cast members:

Yuuki Kaji as Sasuke Kozōmaru Shunsuke Takeuchi as Tetsunosuke Gōjin Sōma Saitō as Kirina Hiura Haruka Tomatsu as Hanta Hattori Kenta Miyake as Takashi Iwato Takahiro Sakurai as Yūichirō Mansaku Ryohei Kimura as Tatsumi Michinari Ai Kayano as Norika Umihara Natsuki Hanae as Hiro Okuiri Yuka Terasaki as Masakatsu Hiyori

Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin will premiere in spring 2018. In the story, protagonist Asuto Inamori's soccer club is disbanded after the school's soccer field is destroyed. He and friends go to Tokyo to attend Daimon-chuu (Daimon Junior High) to play soccer. The story is set after the first Inazuma Eleven anime and game. However, the show will take place in a parallel world from all other Inazuma Eleven soccer role-playing games (apart from the first), because the story has taken a different course.

The show's main cast includes (from left to right in the image above):

Hiroshi Kamiya as Ryōhei Haizaki Ayumu Murase as Asuto Inamori Jun Fukuyama as Yūma Nosaka

The Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin video game will arrive in summer 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles, and for iOS and Android smartphones.

Level 5 released the first Inazuma Eleven video game on the Nintendo DS in 2008. The Inazuma Eleven soccer anime franchise is based on Level 5's game series of the same name. The original 127-episode anime series aired between 2008-2011, and has since inspired the Inazuma Eleven GO, Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone, and Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy sequel series. The television anime franchise ended its five-and-a-half year run in March 2014. The anime franchise also includes three films and the Inazuma Eleven Go vs. Danbōru Senki W crossover film.

Nintendo released a 3DS port of the original Inazuma Eleven game in North America in February 2014.
